These new Centres will join the other regional sports venues the Authority runs to add to the chain of sporting excellence along the 26 mile long, 10,000 acre Lee Valley Regional Park.

Since the Park was established in 1966 our aim has been to provide quality open spaces and leisure facilities for the people of London, Essex and Hertfordshire – and further afield – to enjoy, which is why we’re playing a key role in the planning of London 2012 Games venues and are actively involved in legacy master-planning work.

We’ve decades of experience of running outstanding parklands and first rate sporting venues – three of the four British track and field medalists at Beijing train at our Lee Valley Athletics Centre. We know how to blend the elements needed to help top class athletes achieve greatness, with the types of community usage which makes the

venues come alive.

Lee Valley Canoe & Cycle Centre

The Lee Valley Canoe & Cycle Centre is just yards from the new Stonebridge Lock Waterside Centre in Tottenham. The centre has been set up to provide free canoeing to local young people, offering them water safety awareness and diverting them away from crime. In addition to hiring canoes, kayaks and cycles, Lee Valley Canoe & Cycle Centre also offer a selection of courses including orienteering, first aid and canoe coaching. Call 07747 873831`
